Established on June 30, 1972, the park covers an area of 308.21 square kilometers. It is 165 km away from Colombo. Udawalawe National Park is famous for its water birds and Sri Lankan elephants. Tour duration: 4.00 am to 10.00 am
Our morning safari jeep tour starts at around 4.00 am from your hotel. We will reach the ticket center around 5.55 am. We enter the park around 6.00 am. Our goal is to provide you with an amazing experience at Udawalawe National Park. Our first target is to see the elephants at Udawalawe. You can also see baby elephants, herds of elephants, tuskers, birds, crocodiles, jackals, buffalos and other animals along the way. At around 8.30 am we reach Udawalawe tank. At around 9.30 am we have a short break. You can get down from the jeep to visit the area and take photos. Thereafter we drop you off at your hotel around 10.00 am.
Afternoon Safari
Tour duration: 1.30 pm to 6.00 pm
Our afternoon safari jeep tour starts around 1.00 pm from your hotel. We will reach the ticket center around 1.50 pm. We enter the park around 2.00 pm. Our goal is to provide you with an amazing experience at Udawalawe National Park. Our first target is to see the elephants at Udawalawe. You can also see baby elephants, herds of elephants, tuskers, birds, crocodiles, jackals, buffalos and other animals along the way. At around 3.30 pm we reach Udawalawe tank. At around 4.30 pm we have a short break. You can get down from the jeep to visit the area and take photos. Thereafter we drop you off at your hotel around 6.00 pm.
